Mindfulness and Healing: How Mindfulness Helps Patients (and Doctors, Too)

Mindfulness and Healing: How Mindfulness Helps Patients (and Doctors, Too)

Conversation and Practice with Diane Reibel, PhD

Decades of medical research into the benefits of mindfulness has demonstrated real benefits for patients, including: reduced medical symptoms, lower anxiety, better pain control, improved mood, and prevention of depression. Mindfulness has also been shown to reduce burnout and improve energy and mood in practicing physicians.

Join us for conversation and mindfulness practice with Diane Reibel, PhD, Director of the Myrna Brind Center for Mindfulness at Jefferson’s Marcus Institute of Integrative Health. Dr. Reibel has taught Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for over 25 years to patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers. She will share this experience and guide through mindfulness practices useful to patients and ourselves. Panera Bread will be served.
